Tasting Notes
French Lick White is our best-selling and signature sweet white wine. It is a blend of Niagara and Vignoles grape varieties that presents a distinct, “foxy” grapey flavors and aromas. Reminiscent of table grapes or fresh grapes from the vine, it is rich, juicy, and sweet. We take great pride in sourcing the Niagara and Vignoles grapes from the best New York State has to offer. This sweet white pairs well with Waldorf salad, rich seafood dishes, soft cheese (brie, Camembert, etc.), angel food cake and spicy curries.
Winemaker’s Notes
We take great pride in fermenting our fruit wine long and slowly at low temperature, with as little fining as possible in order to amplify and preserve the natural flavors. We arrest fermentation in order to keep the natural fructose, and then add sucrose which aids in the fermentation process and maximizes the preservation of the natural sugars for “foxy” grapey flavor.
