French Lick Winery can accommodate groups of up to 100 people for wine/spirits tasting (without food options) and groups of up to 25 guests for off-the-menu dining during regular business hours. Groups of 25 or more can take advantage of our buffet option and groups of 50 – 100 for dining can be accommodated Sunday – Thursday, after hours only. Groups can sample our wines for a fee, view our production facility from our observation area (we do not offer winery tours), browse our gift shop, or dine at our café. Our vineyard is located off site and not accessible to the public.
Tours of our artisan distillery, Spirits of French Lick, which is located adjacent to the winery are available for a fee. All spirits tastings are done in the winery. Tastings are available both with and without the tour option.
Please note: Indiana state law requires that any individuals wishing to taste or purchase alcohol must show a valid photo I.D. beforehand. We ask that you please remind members of your group to have a valid photo I.D. with them. If asked to provide ID and it isn’t available, they will not be served.
The Vintage Café at French Lick Winery offers pizza, pasta, breads, salads, and desserts. A variety of set menus, buffets, etc., are available for groups. Information and pricing is available upon request. We do not have private banquet or meeting rooms.
Group reservations are available Sunday through Friday during our regular business hours, except on holidays that fall during those days.
For groups of 20 to 24, reservations are suggested for guaranteed group seating for off-the-menu dining. The table will be held for 15 minutes past the agreed upon arrival time and then will be released to public seating. The final number of people in attendance is required 14 days prior to the reservation date.
Advance reservations are required for groups of 25 or more people. Minimum number for buffet dining is 25 people and is automatically billed on one check inclusive of tax and gratuity. The final number of people in attendance is required 14 days prior to the event date. Payment is based on the number of reservations plus any additional surprise guests. A deposit may be required for groups of 30 or more. We will comp the driver and escort for groups of 40 or more. The deposit is refundable if a group cancels more than 30 days from their reserved date; if a group cancels within 30 days of the event the deposit is non-refundable.
30-day advanced written reservation and cancellation notices are required.
Unless your group has reserved an after-hours experience, we will be open to the public during our normal business hours. Staff members strive to serve everyone equally and ensure everyone has a good experience. We appreciate your patience as you might experience a wait in line for an accessible place at the tasting bar.
In order to provide an enjoyable winery experience, we ask that your group observe a few guidelines during the visit.
Our servers may ask for ID’s to confirm the guest is over 21 in accordance with the law. Please remind members of your group to have a valid photo ID with them. If asked to provide ID and it isn’t available, they will not be served. Additionally, they may be asked more than once, such as at the register if making a purchase or at a table in the dining room.
When the group arrives at the winery, please have one representative from the group come in and alert us of your arrival. We will greet you at the bus with some preliminary remarks before disembarking. If your group is going to be 15 or more minutes late, please call to help us better accommodate the changes.
Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages are allowed at the winery either inside or outside on the patio, other than products we produce. This is a legal requirement that applies to “bonded facilities” and your entire group will be expelled if just one person violates this rule.
Additionally, no outside food or drink is allowed inside. We have a full-service restaurant and additional snack foods available for sale in our gift shop.
Public intoxication is unlawful, regardless if you have a designated driver or are in a limo/bus/shuttle. It is against the law to serve or sell alcohol to an intoxicated person. Winery servers cannot serve anyone they suspect is over or near the “legal limit” of alcohol. It is a judgment call and winery management will support their IN ATC trained employees. If one of your group has been advised that they cannot be served, please do not argue. Ultimately, it is our responsibility to both protect the patron, the wine server, as well as ensure that we are operating legally.

We try to accommodate groups during our regular business hours. However, if your group requires after-hours service, there may be a room charge for use of the facility. Generally, the following applies:
In addition to selected menu options:
- Groups of 50 or more with a meal: no room charge
- Groups of 30 to 49 people: $400
- Groups less than 30: $500
After hours tasting-only is not an option. The minimum charge is our Fruit & Cheese menu item.
After hours groups must start their meal no later than 7pm. If it needs to start later, additional charges may apply.
